Commands
CobaltStaff commands have short names without hyphens, with French or English aliases. All of them are registered dynamically: you can rename them, change their aliases or permission, or disable them in commands.yml and commands/<module>.yml.
Reading a usage
Section titled “Reading a usage”| Notation | Meaning |
|---|---|
<player> |
Required argument |
[reason] |
Optional argument |
a | b |
Choice between several values |
-silent, -D, -T<location>… |
Global arguments, placed anywhere (see Sanctions and Freeze) |
Player arguments accept offline players already known to the server (offline-players-mode option). Completion hides vanished players from those who cannot see them.
Subcommands
Section titled “Subcommands”Actions on the same topic are grouped under a parent command: topic + word. For example /reports gerer, /reports chercher, /ban prolonger, /mute reduire, /bans appels, /canal rejoindre, /investigate pause or /sc mute.
- Each subcommand keeps its own permission (e.g.
/ban prolongerrequirescobaltstaff.bans.extendban, notcobaltstaff.bans.ban). The parent is visible as soon as you have its permission or the permission of one of its subcommands. - Completion (Tab key) offers, after the parent, only the words you are allowed to use, then the subcommand’s arguments.
- Words have aliases (
/ban extend=/ban prolonger,/reports manage=/reports gerer); case is ignored. - A group with no action of its own (
/canal,/bans,/mutes) typed alone shows a clickable list of the subcommands you can use.
