Chat

When a player writes @Name in chat:

  • if the mentioned player is online, the mention is recolored (#6FE2E8) and written with the correct name casing;
  • the mentioned player receives the mention notification (“Steve mentioned you in chat”), in chat or in the banner when the mention key is listed in bandeau.messages;
  • authors never notify themselves, and each player is notified only once per message.

Names of 3 to 16 characters are recognized, case-insensitively. An address like name@example is not taken for a mention.

Completion: the @Name of every online player is suggested by the Tab key in chat, and the list is updated on every join and quit.

Writing @item or [item] replaces the word with the name of the held item, in brackets, with its colors and the full item tooltip on hover, followed by x<amount> when there are several. Up to three occurrences per message are replaced. Empty hand: the text is left unchanged.

Steve : look at my @item → Steve : look at my [Dragon Sword]
Steve : selling [item] → Steve : selling [Diamond] x32

The %cobaltiaeffets_chat_infos% placeholder returns a ready-to-use prefix for your chat format:

[#3 - #12] [Adventurers] Steve : hello
│ │ └ player's clan
│ └ rank on the coins leaderboard
└ rank on the global jobs leaderboard
Information Source
Level rank Jobs Reborn global top
Coins rank Leaderboard placeholder of the “Cobaltia” plugin
Clan Clan placeholder of the “Cobaltia” plugin (&, § or MiniMessage colors accepted)

A missing or zero rank is simply left out; with no rank at all, the brackets disappear. The prefix is recomputed every 20 seconds and on join, which makes it free to display in every message.

Reserved to players with cobaltia.chat.infos (not granted by default — for instance a rank perk). The choice is saved in the player data. If the permission is lost, the information shows again.

Two placeholders expose the current state, handy for a settings menu:

  • %cobaltiaeffets_chat_infos_clan% → affiche / masque
  • %cobaltiaeffets_chat_infos_classements% → affiche / masque
